Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate National Leap Into Science Week with Mr. Andy as he hosts a fun STEAM-oriented storytime on Zoom! In our program, we’ll explore light and shadows by reading stories, asking questions (like a scientist), and doing experiments to increase our knowledge.

Mr. Andy will also share short videos on our Facebook page this week to encourage more learning about light and shadows. To participate in these experiments, please have the following household items nearby: a flashlight; blocks, LEGOs or other building toy; cookie cutter, if available; and a blank, lightly colored wall.

Be sure to stop in the Youth Services department to use one of our Light and Shadow kits in the library, which will contain all of the above items plus a couple of books. While you're here, be sure to check out our Light and Shadow Drawing Wall and pick up one of our Light and Shadow Take-Home Kits.

This program brought to you with training from The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.
