Welcome to the meeting room page. Each use of a meeting room at the Main Library requires an application acknowledging TADL Board Policy on Use of Meeting Rooms. Please note that all Study Rooms and the Thirlby Room have windows in the doors that cannot be covered for safety reasons.
All study and meeting rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Immediate walk-in use of the Thirlby Room or a Study Room must be made in person at the Adult Reference Desk and not over the phone. Walk in use is not limited.

Kingsley
The Meeting Room facility at the Kingsley Branch Library is not operated by the Library itself, but rather by the Village of Kingsley. If you are interested in reserving this space for an event, please refer to the Village of Kingsley Community Room Use Policy. The Village Manager can be contacted by calling 231-263-7778.
Fife Lake
The Community Room at the Fife Lake Public Library is available for use by groups, organizations and individuals whose activities help fulfill the Library’s mission of providing an environment that stimulates the intellectual, recreational and vocational needs of our community.
The room is also available for private use for a rental and deposit fee. The facility features kitchen appliances, tables, chairs, a podium, DVD/VCR player, projector and a projection screen. Interested groups and users should speak with the Library Director (231) 879-4101 to reserve the room and discuss applicable fees.
All meeting room reservations are currently subject to cancellation pending potential changes to library policy regarding the COVID-19 virus and related public health concerns. Please be aware that any room reservations made for the foreseeable future could be canceled with little or no notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but protecting the health of our patrons, staff and community is the library's highest priority.
Study Rooms
Study Rooms A, B and C – 2nd Floor Main Library – 2 person limit
Public access to these rooms is available on a first-come, first-served basis by inquiring at the 2nd floor Reference Desk. Study Rooms and their furnishings may be used for up to two hours. Food is not permitted in study rooms.
Study Room D is suitable for small group meetings and discussion groups of six (6) or fewer people. It is available on a first-come, first-served basis, but can be reserved in advance up to 4 times a month for up to 4 hours. Please call Adult Reference desk if you are running late: (231) 932-8502. The room reservations are held for 20 minutes after your scheduled meeting start time, the room may be offered up to other patrons waiting for a study space.
Study Room D dimensions are 11.5ft x 12.5ft (143.75 sq. ft.) and features a table, 6 chairs and a whiteboard.
Thirlby Room
Advance reservations for this space are made through the Sight & Sound Department. Immediate in person walk-in inquiries can be made at the 2nd floor Adult Reference desk. The Thirlby Room can accommodate up to twenty (20) people, it features a video projector, tables and chairs are self serve setup. Please call Adult Reference desk if you are running late: (231) 932-8502. The room reservations are held for 20 minutes after your scheduled meeting start time, the room may be offered up to other patrons waiting for a study space. The Thirlby Room dimensions are 16ft x 21ft (336 sq. ft.).
McGuire Community Room
The McGuire Community Room is located on the left after entering the Main Library. It serves as the primary venue for library programs and public meetings throughout the year and is suitable for meetings, presentations, web-based meetings or film screenings.
Public reservations in the McGuire Community room are subject to a room rental fee based on the type of organization (Business or Not-for-Profit) and the duration of the meeting.
