Regular Collection, Juvenile and Young Adult Materials have no daily overdue fines. Charges for lost or damaged items, returned check fees, or collection agency fees are the responsibility of the library cardholder.

  • Limit of 100 total items can be checked out on one account at any time.
  • Patrons with Limited/Visitor cards can only have 3 items checked out at any time.
  • Items will be automatically renewed up to 4 times unless the item is on hold for another patron.
  • Renewals are not allowed if an item is on hold for other patrons. Fines remain if a renewal is late.
  • Patrons may have up to 100 items on their holds list at anytime.
  • Holiday materials may be placed "Hot" status when they are in season.
  • Maximum fine shall not exceed the cost of item.
  • Loans, fines and limits are uniform at all Traverse Area District Library locations.
  • If you accidentally lose or damage an item, please do not buy a replacement copy. In general, the library needs the cost of the item to be paid and does not accept replacement copies in lieu of payment. If you have any questions, please contact the owning library.
