Talk, Protect, Report Training with Children's Advocacy Center

Jenna Baker, intervention specialist at the Traverse Bay Children's Advocacy Center will be presenting Talk, Protect, Report, an evidence-based child abuse prevention program designed for adults. Participants will learn how to talk about the issue of child abuse, specifically child sexual abuse, in a developmentally-sensitive manner. Participants will also learn about protection factors to help limit the risk of exposure, about signs/warning signs of abuse, how to report, when to report, and tips for making reports, as well as a thorough discussion on how to respond to a child's disclosure of abuse.

The program will run for approximately 2.5 hours, with time for questions afterward.
