The National Cherry Festival and O'Shea Audio Description will have a live audio description of the Cherry Royale Parade for those who are blind or visually impaired. The parade audio description will included detailed descriptions of each entrant. This includes floats, marching bands, vehicles, animals, and people.
Join them in the audio description tent located at the northeast corner of State St and Union St on July 6 at 11:15 am. They will provide a small receiver unit and basic headphones.
When the parade starts, an audio describer will provide live and detailed descriptions of all parade entrants as they pass, using a microphone headset. You will hear the describer through the headphones. Bring a chair if you like one. You may also bring your personal headphone or earbuds, if you prefer.
