Novelember

Posted on:

Do you have dreams of writing the next great American novel? November is National Writing Month, and Kingsley Branch Library is gathering aspiring authors together to participate in Novelember, a month-long recurring program where you’ll practice strengthening your writing muscles.

“Writing a book is something I think every reader dreams of, even a little bit,” says Kingsley librarian Erin. “I’ve got several tabs of notes for my ‘someday story’ that I’m excited to finally start to put together, and learn from fellow wannabe writers. Also, I think KBL is just such a cozy setting to do so!”

Each week participants will receive themed prompts to help jumpstart creative storytelling, then you’re invited to settle in, and just write! To kick off Novelember, prolific author Marshall Thorton will share his expertise in combating writer’s block with Writing 2000 Words a Day on Tuesday, October 29th. Attendees will enjoy refreshments and treats from Trace Cakes of Kingsley.
