This program co-hosted by the Traverse Area District Library and the Northern Michigan Community Council of the National MS Society, Michigan Chapter gives you the opportunity to learn more about lifestyle factors such as exercise and healthy eating which can impact the risk of getting MS and can affect how the disease progresses. This program is designed to share the benefits of taking a comprehensive wellness approach to positively impact quality of life. The evening will feature presentations by two local professionals and a Q & A.


AGENDA:
Exercise is essential to general health and well-being, it’s also helpful in managing many MS symptoms. Come and hear tips from Kaitlyn Malaski, PT, DPT, NCS, a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist and owner of Mindset Physical Therapy.


Melissa Goodchild, RDN, CDCES from Munson Medical Center will share about nutrition as a facet of living well with multiple sclerosis and how a healthy diet may have a positive effect on your MS.
