Happy New Year!
This month, the library has reading challenges for everyone! If you’re visiting us in person, stop at the displays on the second floor. One of them will have copies of different challenges from readers around the web (eta Jan 3rd). If you prefer digital challenges, we have everyone’s favorite: Bingo!
This isn’t something to add to your already long list of chores for the new year. It’s a way to give yourself time to have fun.
“Time?!” I hear you say. “Who has time?!”
This is 2023, dear readers. We are going to be gentle with ourselves and others. When you read for five minutes a day a few days a week, you’ll have read a whole book just for you by the end of the month. What a treat to give ourselves!
Speaking of treats…The Adult Winter Library Challenge offers 25 activities of varying interests and difficulty. If you’re motivated by prizes, we will have a grand prize drawing for anyone who brings us their completed board to win a Cozy Winter Gift Basket. You can also get digital badges on Beanstack (the same app you used last summer for the Summer Library Challenge).
You can get a paper copy of Adult Winter Library Challenge at the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor or print this one yourself if you’d rather not use the app.
